Herreshoff Marine Museum

The Herreshoff Marine Museum preserves and celebrates the legacy of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and its founders, John and Nat Herreshoff.  Between 1878 and 1945, HMCo. designed and built over 2000 of the fastest yachts in the world, including steam-powered commuters, the first Torpedo Boats for the US Navy, one-designs, record-breaking racing schooners, and the successful defenders of eight America’s Cup matches.  HMM is also the home of the America’s Cup Hall of Fame.  At HMM, we celebrate innovation in engineering, design and manufacturing through our exhibits, STEM education program, Lecture Series, symposiums on yacht design and restoration and Seamanship Program.  Visit by land or by water.
